Theme Two of the Clinical Supervision Group: The Relationship Between Sex and Gender Diversity and Neurodiversity.
TOPIC: Couples: Communicating Across Neurotypes
1pm EST
In honour of St. Valentine, the Patron Saint of affianced couples, bee keepers, epilepsy, fainting, greetings, happy marriages, love, lovers, plague, travellers, and young people, let's talk about relationships; more specifically, how we, as therapists, can support couples (triads, etc) when one or both are neurodivergent. Traditional couple therapy usually fails for this population. Why? What do we need to do differently when facilitating cross-neurotype communication? Come and share your thoughts, ideas and strategies. New and past members are all welcome.

Robyn Livingston, Scattergram Psychotherapist and Facilitator of *The ND Room*, a group for queer and neurodivergent youth in grades seven to twelve, will facilitate our discussion on working with this population. What do we need to be aware of to support them and their family members? Come and share your thoughts, ideas and strategies. New and past members are all welcome.
