Meet The Team
Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapy, Training and Advocacy
Our Story
After many years of research and teaching in University settings, Wendy McGuire made an abrupt mid-life career change to work with the neurodivergent. There were few, if any, services for neurodivergent adults at the time. She wanted to change that. It was personal. Wendy is a mom, friend, colleague, teacher, and therapist to neurodivergent people of all ages and walks of life. And so Scattergram was founded – where neurodivergence is the norm.

Registered Social Worker

I provide traditional counselling services for mental health struggles (anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-harm, sex and gender identity stuff, etc.). I also provide non-traditional counselling based on my understanding of how neuroatypical brains and nervous systems work.
Meet the Therapists
Scattergram Associates are deeply committed to bringing a fresh approach to the growth and wellbeing of neurodivergent youth and adults. Each Associate receives in-depth training in Scattergram’s A.C.C.E.P.T. Program™ neurodiversity-affirming treatment model while using modified Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, Intersectional, LGBTQ2SI+-Affirming, and Strengths-Based approaches. And each therapist also has their own skills, professional expertise, and experience, which you can find on their bio page.
We will collaborate with you to increase your understanding of your neurodivergent operating system (or that of your loved one), build skills in cross-neurotype communication (that doesn’t involve masking), and experience deep, authentic connection. These three pillars form the foundation of the ACCEPT modality.

I am a Registered Social Worker who works with youth, ages 12 to 29, and their families, using a queer and neurodiversity-affirming framework. Being trans, queer, and neurodivergent myself, I am passionate about the ways our various identities intersect and strive to work with others to recognize, navigate, and dismantle the unique barriers we face. Through my education and personal experience, I hope to create a therapeutic environment where all feel welcome, valued, and encouraged to be their authentic selves.
