My Story

As an MSW student, I draw on both my education and lived experience as a queer, neurodivergent person in my work. While learning and growing alongside clients, I offer affirming, client-centered care that honours each individual’s identities, perspectives, and experiences.

About Erin

After a winding path through other fields and a lot of trial and error in my early career, I found myself drawn to work that centers connection and care. Social work became a natural fit, offering the opportunity to build relationships where people feel genuinely seen and supported in their authentic selves.

My approach is shaped by both clinical training and lived experience. As a queer, trans, and neurodivergent person with ADHD, I know what it’s like to navigate systems not built with me in mind, to grapple with grief and loss, and to find resilience in unexpected places. Having experienced grief that did not fit the “typical” mold during my childhood and young adult life, I bring an understanding that loss is complex, layered, and deeply shaped by identity and context. These are insights I carry into my work knowing that each person’s experience is unique to them.

I take a collaborative and relational approach to therapy, believing that clients are the experts on themselves and their lives. I see therapy as something that adapts to each person, rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. As a student therapist, I bring curiosity, care, and openness to learning alongside my clients. I view the therapeutic relationship as a space for exploration and collaboration, where each individual’s perspective guides our work together.

All those damn puzzle pieces!

All those damn puzzle pieces!

All those damn puzzle pieces. There is no missing piece! The only puzzle is the puzzled minds of neurotypical people who can’t expand their perceptions of reality to understand how Autistic people perceive and experience their reality so differently. Both valid. Just different.
