Songwriting offers a fun and powerful way to explore and express thoughts and feelings. In this two-part workshop, we’ll start with learning the basics about how to write an original song, and then you’ll be guided through brainstorming and writing exercises to help you craft meaningful personal lyrics in your own uniquely neurodivergent* style. Session one will focus on the basic parts of a song, and tips for using a song to tell your story. In session two you can share your lyrics for feedback, and we’ll talk about how to find rhythm and a melody that matches the tone of your lyrics, so you can sing your own song if you wish (but it won’t be required)!
This introductory workshop is suitable for ALL eighteen* years + neurodivergent** adults.
No musical background or instrument is needed!
*If you’re under 18 and this sounds fun, email us and we’ll try to make it happen!
**Self or other-identified – no diagnosis necessary
